Meet Trusst's Interns

Posted on August 04 2016

We can’t believe it’s August already – this summer is just zipping by. So here at Trusst, we wanted to take this opportunity to give a major shout out to our awesome summer interns. We’ve been lucky enough to have two smart, creative, hard-working gals on our team, who haven’t been afraid to roll-up their sleeves and dive right into any and every project we threw their way.

To get their thoughts on the past few months and find out what they’re planning for the future, we sat down with Jenny and Madeline for a quick Q&A.

Jenny – Finance Intern
Recent Graduate of The University of Pittsburgh – Master of Business Administration

Q: What drew you to Trusst?

A: I thought it was a really cool technology and had a firm belief in the tech first of all. The company was going through a critical stage, scaling up, and I thought I could really help the company through the scaling up process.

Q: What do you like most about interning with Trusst?

A: I really like the people here. I think the working environment is really important. People are really nice to each other, and everyone made sure I enjoyed what I was doing and that I was doing things that I was interested in for my personal development. The company is helping me build my career goals.

Q: What is your favorite project so far?

A: Market research for potential new products. A lot of it was used in a presentation. It made me feel like the stuff I did was useful, helped the company’s strategy moving forward, and could actually lead to something great.

Q: What are your plans after this summer?

A: I’m going back to school at the University of Southern California for its Master of Science in Entrepreneurship program.  I’m also going to keep in touch with Trusst to see if they will be a fit for me in the future.

Q: Where do you see yourself in five years?

A: I want to either found a start-up or join a start-up. I like doing work with start-ups and entrepreneurship. I want to have involvement in the entrepreneur space.

I would recommend anybody to apply for an opportunity like this. I got exposed to more than I could have ever imagined. Co-founders Sophia and Laura really trust me and got me involved in things I wouldn’t be able to do in a larger company.

Madeline - Marketing Intern
Current Student at Kent State University – Fashion Merchandising

Q: What drew you to Trusst?

A: The technology that goes into the bra is amazing. It is such a creative solution to a massive problem. I love that Sophia and Laura are revolutionizing the bra because it so desperately needed to be done. It is also so inspiring to be in a company run and operated by women who are creating a product to help women. It's such an awesome environment to work in.

Q: What do you like most about interning with Trusst?

A: The people! Everyone is so kind and easy to work with. They are really creative and a lot of fun, too! I also really enjoyed how hands-on the internship is. Being able to contribute something to a company during an internship is rare and it was awesome to have the opportunity to do that, even if it was just a little bit.

Q: What is your favorite project so far?

A: My favorite project so far has been helping to plan photo shoots! It's fun to brainstorm ideas for the shoots and to discuss color scheme options. I've learned so much about marketing and photo shoots in my classes, but actually being able to be a part of a real one is really cool!

Q: What are your plans after this summer?

A: I'll be going back to Kent State University for my senior year to finish off my degree in Fashion Merchandising. I'm excited to be graduating so soon!

Q: Where do you see yourself in five years?

A: Hopefully I'll be working in the marketing department of a fashion company. Maybe I'll even be running my own company! Everything is really up in the air right now, so we'll see where I end up after graduation.
