Redefining Beauty: Meet Bre R.
In addition to real customers and influencers, we also want to shine a light on our employees because they are redefining beauty every single day. Come back each month to hear from one of the wonderful women of Trusst. At the beginning of the month, we featured our incredible talented Product Designer, Mariah, who talked about her passion for fashion leading her to discover the true meaning of beauty.
This week, we are shining a spotlight on our Community Experience Manager, Bre. She spends her days helping our customers find the perfect fit either in our Pittsburgh showroom or through email and social media, making sure their orders get to them and generally listening to everything our community wants to share with her.

What does beauty mean to you?
Beauty to me is hard to define by one category. There is so much beauty in this world, and it is not just physical. I find that physical beauty by itself has little worth. Inner beauty is something that you project to the world. It is being confident and happy in yourself. Beauty is the way you feel when you’re standing in a field of flowers, or when you hear a beautiful song. It is a combination of things that surround you and create a feeling of peace in your soul.
What does being comfortable mean to you and your life?
I feel the most comfortable when I am surrounded by people I love. My friends and family have always been my main source of comfort. Whether we are watching a movie, traveling to new places, or going out to the club, the comfort I feel when I am surrounded by good people is the best feeling in the world. My friends and family also push me out of my comfort zone. They push me to try new things and to put myself out there. I always was the type of person to give everything a try, but having the support of people you love makes you want to try even harder at everything.
How did you discover Trusst?
I discovered Trusst a couple months before I started working here. At the time I was writing for a magazine and was looking for cool, local business to feature in an article. I was immediately fascinated with Trusst and their 3D support system. I then saw their job posting and just had to apply. I loved the idea of working for a female-lead company that focused on supporting D+ women.
What is your favorite thing about Trusst and/or the products?
My favorite thing about Trusst is the people, the products, and the message we are projecting to the world. Everyday I wake up excited to go to work. The people I work with are some of the most inspiring, creative and caring people I have ever met. We are all working towards the same goal and willing to do whatever we can to get that accomplished.
The products we have designed and put out are truly life-changing. For years I have struggled with back and shoulder pain due to years of cheerleading and gymnastics. I thought I would never find a product that could relieve my shoulder and back pain the way that Trusst bras do. It is like your boobs are sitting in a comfy hammock just enjoying life. The bra does all the work! My current favorite bras are the Naomi and the Marjory 2.0!
Trusst is not just a bra, but it is a lifestyle. We want women to forget about their bra struggles and live their lives. We want them to focus on the beauty around them instead of back pain caused by an uncomfortable bra. We want women to Trusst themselves and us to give them the support they need.
What do you do on a daily basis? What builds your confidence?
I am the Community Experience Manager here at Trusst Brands. My main objective within this role is to make sure that all of our community/customers questions are answered. Whether that be about fit, style, or benefits the products provide, I am here to help! I also get the amazing opportunity to manage our Pittsburgh Showroom. This gives me the opportunity to meet the women within our community and educate them on our products.
Confidence in myself was something that I struggled with a lot growing up. I was always self-conscious of what others may think about what I would say, wear or do. It wasn’t until I started caring more about what I thought about myself rather than what others thought. I found that self-love and living as your true, authentic self is the key to living a more confident life. I now look in an “Affirmation Mirror” every morning and tell myself that today is going to be a great day and that I am going to great things! It sounds corny, but it works! It also entertains my co-workers.
Why did you choose this spot for your photograph? What does it mean for your life/lifestyle and you?
I chose this spot for a photograph because I feel the most beautiful surrounded by nature and sunshine. This photo makes me feel the most beautiful. I am a bright, happy and optimistic person and I feel like this photo captures that. When I am sharing a photo with the world I like it to be bright and full of positivity.
Trusst was founded by women who challenged the traditional stereotypes of bra design - through engineering, physics, and product design that is not typically seen in the lingerie industry. However, that passion for challenge extends further than just through design; it resonates in the way you live your life as well as the way you perceive yourself and others around you.
We will continue to share stories of other women like Bre who are redefining beauty. And we welcome you to share yours as well! Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or share photos and tag us with #trusstyourself and #redefiningbeauty and we’ll feature you in an upcoming blog post.
Thanks for all of YOUR support of our brand and mission - we wouldn’t be here without you.
