Redefining Beauty: Meet Grace D.
We had the pleasure of meeting Grace D. in New York during our event on International Women’s Day. We have to gush for a minute because she walked in wearing this incredible pink coat and a cherry red power suit, a la Hillary Clinton. Wow! Once we got to chatting with her about her career, experience modeling, and opinions about the plus size industry, we knew we had to feature her and give her a platform to tell her story to the Trusst community.
Hear more from our interview with Grace:
What does beauty mean to you?
Beauty is when you have finally learned to embrace yourself and what YOU believe is beautiful, and you’re unapologetic about it. When you love your choices, and they make you feel beautiful, you’re unstoppable.
What is your favorite thing about Trusst and/or products?
My favorite thing about Trusst and their products is the fact that it’s led and run by fierce women, who saw a true need in the industry and brought it to life. As for the product, have you ever had the thought of, how have I lived without this until now? That’s how I felt when I was first introduced to the Trusst Bra. To feel so literally supported by not only by the product, but by the brand as well? Now that’s priceless.
What does being comfortable mean to you and your life?
I think we spend a lot of our life being uncomfortable, but really...who says we can’t always be comfortable? Being comfortable to me means having a sense of peace in my life, it means wearing clothing and undergarments that are made for my body. It means staying respectful to my level of comfort when it comes to different aspects of my life.
Why did you choose this place to be photographed?
It really goes back to what I said about beauty. I was feeling so fierce in this amazing suit, like such a boss babe, I saw the subtlety of this NYC building, and decided to get up there, on my face, and strike a pose.
Trusst was founded by women who challenged the traditional stereotypes of bra design - through engineering, physics, and product design that is not typically seen in the lingerie industry. However, that passion for challenge extends further than just through design; it resonates in the way you live your life as well as the way you perceive yourself and others around you.
We will continue to share stories of other women like Grace who are redefining beauty. And we welcome you to share yours as well! Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or share photos and tag us with #trusstyourself and #redefiningbeauty and we’ll feature you in an upcoming blog post.
Thanks for all of YOUR support of our brand and mission - we wouldn’t be here without you.
