Redefining Beauty: Meet Liz B.

Meeting Liz at our International Women’s Day event last month was such an inspiring experience, that we knew we had to get her involved in our Redefining Beauty feature. She is a blogger, journalist, brand consultant, and motivational speaker. It’s clear from her blog and social media that she cares deeply about size inclusivity and body positivity, which is another reason why we are excited to be featuring her story this week.

What does beauty mean to you?

Beauty is accepting who you are and what you look like. Beauty is understanding that you're not a problem that needs fixing, you're unique in all the ways that make you, you. Once you accept that within yourself you can find the beauty in all.

What is your favorite thing about Trusst and/or products?

I worked for a lingerie company for two years, and during that time I not only learned how far off my bra size was from what I was wearing, I learned how to help measure others. No exaggeration, finding the right bra size was a life-changing experience. I spent years struggling with my breasts and hating being busty, to finally feeling comfortable in my own skin and loving my chest, all thanks to finally wearing the right size bra! I applaud any company that is focusing on full-bust and full-figure designs, and I'm especially impressed with Trusst's innovative bras. The traditional bra is one "wheel" that deserves to be reinvented, and I'm excited to see how it will evolve over time.

What does being comfortable mean to you and your life?

Being comfortable is knowing who I am, what I believe in, and what I want to achieve in life. We go through cycles in life, where we feel comfortable in ourselves, in our own skin, and times of discomfort where we question things. Since my mom's passing, I've left that comfortable state that I had settled into, and I'm now trying to figure out this next phase of life without her. It's terrible and normal, and unfortunately, we will all go through times of grief and suffering at some point. Accepting that sadness is an aspect of life we cannot avoid and learn how to cope with tragedies will allow me to eventually get back to a comfortable place...whatever that may be.

Trusst was founded by women who challenged the traditional stereotypes of bra design - through engineering, physics, and product design that is not typically seen in the lingerie industry. However, that passion for challenge extends further than just through design; it resonates in the way you live your life as well as the way you perceive yourself and others around you.

We will continue to share stories of other women like Liz B. who are redefining beauty. And we welcome you to share yours as well! Email us at or share photos and tag us with #trusstyourself and #redefiningbeauty and we’ll feature you in an upcoming blog post.

Thanks for all of YOUR support of our brand and mission - we wouldn’t be here without you.
