Spring Has Arrived...Finally
Today is the first day of spring and we don’t know about you, but we are very excited. If you are plagued by the winter blues then you can understand the joy that comes from a new season. Especially one that brings some sunshine (and vitamin D) to our lives after months of gloomy weather. We know it will also bring rain, but we can handle that along with mild temperatures. Lots of exciting things come along with a new season and we are here to help you get hyped for those.
Even though in Southwestern PA we’re prepared to see snow in April, most of the time we can expect milder temperatures to start showing up in late March. Frankly, it doesn't matter because we are all so ready for spring, you will find us wearing sandals on 40 degree days. Sorry, not sorry. You may also find us not wearing coats on those days as well. Even if we have to tolerate some rainy days, the warmer temps make that easier to handle.
Green. Green. Green.
So we know that this is cliche, but as the saying goes, “April Showers, Bring May Flowers”. After months of grey skies and barren trees - it’s such a delight to be able to see the leaves and flowers coming back. When the buds start sprouting on trees and you get to see the sun a little more, you just know that summer is right around the corner. Even though it may take a little while, we know for a fact that summer is coming.
Along with the obvious changes that warmer weather brings, it is also the perfect time to refresh your look. With the transitioning season, it really is the best time to go through your closet and take stock of what you have, what you need, and what you may have had since high school and need to say goodbye to. Take this time to try things on, actually put together outfits, and maybe even get photos of said outfits so you can get the full scope of the look. Spring is also a great time to try new trends, styles, and colors. You could even experiment with a new bra color you may not ordinarily gravitate towards...like our white Naomi.
With all of the above in mind, we also find ourselves clambering to get outside in the fresh air. Being locked up all winter with the same circulating air can get old, really fast so the idea of getting out into the fresh air and getting active is the best feeling. Whether you are keepin’ it casual with a picnic in the park, finally getting your bicycle out of storage, or lacing up your sneakers or an outdoor jog...there’s nothing better than getting outside after a long winter.
What are you looking forward to this spring? We’d love to hear from you!
